<sub>Awakening

Dead plants lay low like broken hearts
in the final dark days of winter.

Soon they will slowly begin to arise from their long nap.

Sun beams nourish the plants and warm even the coldest of hearts
Dormant once, now coming to.

Reflective of people and empty souls.

Bitter cold and fluffy snow melt away like a retreating tide.

Hearts mend as do plants, for hope always springs even sometimes eternal.
